It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sandra Lynn Wargowsky of Ashburn, Virginia, who passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Lynn and Vernie Lynn. She is survived by: her sister Janet; her husband Dick (Dick); her children, Jan Cory (John Cory) of Westport, CT, R. Eric Wargowsky of Reston, VA and Kent Wargowsky (Kim Wargowsky) of Atlanta, GA.; and her grandchildren, Kenyon Cory (Daniel Baicker), R. Samuel Wargowsky, Hannah Wargowsky (Elijah Wargowsky), Caroline Cory, Liz Cory, Olivia Wargowsky and Isabel Wargowsky.

“I am so sorry to hear about Sandy’s passing. Dick and Sandy were a big part of our lives growing up- I enjoyed spending time with them when I was a teenage girl. Thank you for being so good to my family, my Mom, Tina and Dad, Kier. Thank you for praying for them and being good friends to them. There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone their light remains…that is Sandy. Roberta Boyd Anderson (twin is Debbie).”

“I was so sorry to hear about Sandy. Both Sandy and Dick have been good friends with our family for decades. Sandy was a gifted teacher and had a strong faith in God. We all met at Hope Lutheran Church. I remember how Sandy and Dick welcomed us into their home and took care of us while my parents went on vacation. So many fond memories, of Sandy. She will be deeply missed and I pray for Dick, her children, grandchildren and entire family. Sending love and hugs, Debbie Boyd-Fowler”
