She was predeceased by: her parents, Nguyen Van Thu and Nguyen Thi Tam; and her sister Nguyen Thi Hanh. She is survived by: her husband Fred Allen Philpot; and her children, James Novy and Michele Elizabeth. She is also survived by four brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
