She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hugo Berardi and Lena Berardi; her husband Walt Lawrence; her siblings, Bernadette Berardi Kramer, David Berardi and Hugo Berardi (Melodie); her sons, John Hunter (Rebecca) of Hood River, Ore and Paul Hunter (Laura) of Harleysvillle; and her grandsons, Damon Hunter, John Hunter, Will Hunter and Mee Mau.

In lieu of flowers, Maria requested that any donations be made to food banks to help those in need.
