He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ian Thomson Patterson and Grace Miller Patterson; his wife Glynis McHargue Patterson; his daughter Kristin Patterson Jones (John W. Jones, Jr.); and his grandchildren, Truman Jones of Ashburn, Morgan Jones of Ashburn and Bailey.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Arlington National Cemetery (204 Arlington Ave, Fort Myer, VA 22211).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association and the Army Historical Foundation.
