Dorothy Snoke Fortna Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Snoke Fortna in Ashburn, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dwight L. Fortna (Silver Spring, MD) of Shippensburg; and her daughter Diane F. Murtha. She is survived by: her son Bob; her children-in-law, Lee and Mike Murtha; her sister Margaretta Bolich; her grandchildren, Christina (Tom), Justin (Meghan), Daniel and Brian; and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Madeline, Matthew, Penny and Jack.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fourth Presbyterian Church (5500 River Rd, Bethesda, MD 20816).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church.
