The memory of Donald Lee Nelson of Ashburn, Virginia, born in Mackinaw, Illinois, who passed away on January 13, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Eugene Nelson and Lillie Lena Nelson (Kull); and his brother Gene Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Cindy Wolff and LeeAnn George (Chris); his grandchildren, Kirsten, Cameron and Landon George; and his stepgrandsons, Dalton, Blake Wolff and Jason Messenger.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Life Lutheran Church (5114 Twinbrook Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter https://ffcas.org or the Alzheimer's Association https://act.alz.org.
