He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Neelakantan Sarojini and K. N. Sarojini; his wife Dr. Urmila Bhuvanesh; his son Vikrant Kobla (Harshita Kobla); his grandchildren, Vishal, Akshay and Rithika; his son Gautam Kobla (Keerthi Kobla); and his grandchildren, Sanjit and Saiyuj. He was also cherished by his three sisters.
