She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hopkins and Anna Mae Hopkins; her husband Lawrence R. Melson of Bridgeville; and her son Dennis Clyde Melson. She is survived by: her children, Brent Melson of Washington, DC, Marcia Y Melson of Ashburn and Vicki Melson; and her grandsons, Matthew Prewitt and Joshua Prewitt.
