It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger Dale Hite of Arlington, Virginia, who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Goldie Sloan (Charles) and Basil Wallace Snead; his siblings, Bryon, Gary and Jean; and his nephew Shane.
He is survived by: his wife Isabella Baylor Bowe Hite; his daughters, Isabella Brooke Hite Sanders and Katherine Blake Hite Slusser (Marshall); his grandchildren, Lewis Allen Ginn, John Baird "Jack" Slusser, Baylor Haywood Sanders, Henry McIntosh Slusser and Anne Wythe Slusser; and his siblings, Maxine, Connie, Wayne, Ronnie, Hite-Combs-Snead, Randal Ginn, Branden Sanders and Lennie Bowe Shirley. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vauter's Episcopal Church (3661 Tidewater Trail, Loretto, VA 22509). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
