He was predeceased by: his parents, John Moffitt and Bertha Blaine Moffitt; and his siblings, Grace Dickerson, Don Moffitt, Floyd Moffett, Ruth Baumann, Mary Hitt and Robert Moffitt.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne Stowell Moffett; his children, Bobbi Nicholls (Donnie), Mark Moffett (Laura) and Scott Moffett (Renee); his grandchildren, Laura Corbin (Troy), Justin Nicholls, Danielle Moffett, Kylee Moffett, Kendall Moffett, Nikki Sabol and Kyle Tufts; his great grandchild Troy Corbin, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Stowell (Glenda), Judy Workman, Gayle Bickerstaff, Sandy Stowell, Terri Stowell and Barry Stowell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's or to the Clyde Barker Transplant House in Philadelphia, PA.
