He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Kaufman; and his siblings, Francis Kaufman, Jean Kaufman, Solomon Kaufman, Anna Kaufman, Herman Kaufman, Nathaniel Kaufman and Sandra Herman Fuller.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Kaufman of Charlottesville and Michael Kaufman (Lynn) of Virginia Beach; and his grandson Jeremy Thomas (Sierra) of Alexandria.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in his honor to Congregation Beth Israel, 301 E. Jefferson St., Charlottesville, Va. 22902.
