He is survived by: his daughters, Michele Hamilton-Gunn and Lisa Hamilton; his son-in-law Michael L. Gunn; his grandchildren, Mathew M. Gunn and Madeleine E. Gunn; his brother William R. Hamilton; and his wife Eileen Haynes Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Food Pantry at Grace Episcopal Church.
