He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine. He is survived by: his parent Constant; his son Colonel Joe Pientka Jr.; his grandson Joe Pientka III; his wife Melissa; his great grandchildren, Jillian Marie Pientka and Madeleine Jolie Pientka; his grandsons, Ethan Sawyer Pientka and John Alex Pientka; his great grandchildren, John Lukas Pientka and William Colton Pientka; his daughter Daisy Catherine Pientka of Scottsdale; and his niece Karen Loy Smith of Hurst. He is also survived by two grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
