It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Clark McGillivray of Arlington, Virginia, born in Urbana, Illinois, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father James J. McGillivray; and his sisters, Anne Wilmoth and Jennifer McGillivray. He is survived by: his mother Catherine McGillivray; his wife Martha; and his siblings, Margaret Spence (Michael), Heather Hayek (Matthew) and Rod McGillivray (Katrina). He is also survived by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alexandria Music Makers Scholarship Fund to benefit Jim's love of music and access to it for all children.
