He was predeceased by: his parents, Nguyen Van Tong and Duong Thi Minh; his wife The-Loc Nguyen; his brothers, Tham Antoine Joseph Nguyen (Maria Madelaina Nghiem), An Marc Andre Nguyen, Hoa Jean Rene Nguyen and Hiep Jacques Alphonse Nguyen; and his brother-in-law Truong Manh Nguyen.

He is survived by: his sons, Hao Marc Nguyen (Amy Tenhouse) and Hau Michael Nguyen; his grandson Jenson Alan Hung Nguyen; and his siblings-in-law, Anna Theresa Van N. Duong, Janet Chien-Teh Nguyen, Honovan Hyep, Phuong-Chi VuTien (Tien Vu), Mimi Nguyen and Luat Trong Nguyen (Kathryn Stacy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
