She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Asher and Mary Asher (Delevitt); her brother Charles Asher; and her former husband Leslie Silverman. She is survived by: her daughters, Beth (Ray), Amy (Brian) and Sara; her grandchildren, Carsie and Elijah Blanton; her close friend Kris Sarma; her niece Betsy Asher Hall; her nephews, Marc and Robert Asher; and also, Butch, Coke and Esh.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Green Spring gardens (http://www.friendsofgreenspring.org) or the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association (http://www.wmpamusic.org). to support the classical music concerts at the Lyceum that Gloria and Kris loved.
