It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edmund H. Cowan of Arlington, Virginia, who passed away on December 20, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Cowan (Nash) and Edmund Cowan; and his sisters, Lorraine Nickols and Florence Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Betty Cowan (Dymond); his children, Robin Lawton (Bob) of Maine, Dana Milligan (Laura Darwin) of Ohio, Wendy Tewart-Darwin (Corey) of Ohio and Edmund Cowan Jr. of Arizona; his grandchildren, Jessica Milligan (Theresa Whittington), Molly Milligan, Steven Lawton, Corinne Cowan and Blair Cowan; his great grandchildren, Xavier and Atticus Milligan; and his siblings, Eugene Cowan and Mildred Martin.
