He is survived by: his nephew Chad Freed of Spinnerstown; his niece Susan Freed (Vincent Roppolo) of Glen Gardner, NJ; his great-nieces, Serafina and Abigail Roppolo; and his sister-in-law Judy Freed of Spinnerstown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested in his memory to the Humane Society and the World Wildlife Federation.
