He was predeceased by: his parents, Claudio Benedi and Gladys Benedi (Garriga). He is survived by: his wife Mary K Benedi; his children, Claudio Benedi, Jr. (Shannon) and Michelle Pizzano (David); his grandchildren, Claudio, David, Jacquelyn, Michael, Madelyn and Leah; and his siblings, Gladys, Hector and Antonio. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
