He was predeceased by: his parents, William Strickland and Maybelle Strickland; and his children, Jeanette Diane Strickland and Bobby "Dean" Strickland, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sallie Faulkner Strickland; his daughters, Wanda Strickland Peaden (Timothy) of Greenville and Theresa Strickland Eakes (Rick) of Winterville; and his grandchildren, Roger B. Smith, Jr., Kayla Marie Strickland, Timothy Ray Peaden, Jr. and Mason Dean Strickland. He is also survived by two sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews.
