With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alexander Edgar Payton Jr. (Arlington, Virginia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alexander Edgar left this world on January 24, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Payton Sr. and Karen Hansen (McGraw); his son Mark Alan Payton; and his stepbrothers, George and Don Balmer.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Payton of Pappy's Place; his daughter Lisa Bolyard (Gene); his daughter-in-law Beverly Payton; his grandchildren, Mandy Phillips (Zach), Zachary Payton (Marie), Alayna Bolyard and Cole Bolyard; his great grandchildren, Bronwyn Grace and Payton Faith Phillips; and his friend Loisdale. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Arlington First Church of the Nazarene (2013 21st St N, Arlington, VA 22209).
