He was predeceased by: his father Carnie Hiatt; and his siblings, Albert Hiatt (Benny), Clifford Hiatt, Lonnie Gray Hiatt, Eva Joy Robertson and Ruby Mae Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hiatt; his children, Karen Crotts (Ronnie) of Elkin, NC, Lisa Lawrence (Freddie) of New York, Linda Connors (Jimmy) of New Jersey, Marty Hiatt (Liza) of Ararat, Michael Hiatt (Tiffany) of Ararat, Stacy Lucas of New Castle, VA, David Martin (Gail) of Narrows and Brian Martin (Teresa) of Ararat; his siblings, Dorothy Wall of Cana, Marcia Ayers (Bobby) of Cana, Nina Newman of Cana and Roy Lee Hiatt (Pat); and his pet Penny. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
