He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Roosevelt Puckett and Georgia Etta Collins Puckett; and his brothers, Taylor Owens Puckett and Herman Junior "Pete" Puckett. He is survived by: his daughter Amy Leigh Puckett-Lawson; his grandchildren, Jordan, Summer Branson-Upchurch and Ashton Lawson; his sisters, Betty Jean Patterson, Linda Puckett and Gaynell (Donald Thomas); and his pet Buddy "Boo Boo".
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at the Doe Run Baptist Church (903 Doe Run Rd, Ararat, VA 24053).
