He was predeceased by: his parents, Kyle Spence and Lelia Stanley Spence Hall; and his siblings, Nerine Pope, Gearldine Nester and Cullie Spence.
He is survived by: his son Allan; his daughter-in-law Debbie Spence of Ararat, Virginia; his grandchildren, Colby Spence (Kim Snow) of Mount Airy and Ashely Frith (Jacob) of Danville, Virginia; and his sister Shelby Dulaney (Junior). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
