He was predeceased by: his parents, Eliah Collins and Clarice Brown Collins; his wife Velva Virginia Collins; his son Irvin Warren Collins Jr.; and his siblings, Elizabeth Collins, Ray, Early, Victor and Archie Lane Collins.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Payne (William), Frances Sutphin (Michael) and Leroy Collins; his grandchildren, Chris Sutphin, Josh Sutphin (Katrina) and Brandon Collins; and his great grandchild Ben Sutphin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mr. Collins to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC 27017.
