She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Bennett Barnard, Jr. and Nettie Myrtle Bowman Barnard; her husband Edgar Wesley Niten; her son Earl Wesley Niten; her siblings, Marie Thompson, Thomas Lee Barnard and Garland Letch Barnard; and her sons-in-law, Lanny Martin and Larry Willard.
She is survived by: her children, Diane (Bobby Cox), Shirley Martin, Nancy Plaster, Edward (Sarah Niten) and Elbert (Lisa Niten). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings currently (COVID-19), a graveside service will be held on Sunday June 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Young Family Cemetery in Ararat, VA.
