She is survived by: her son John Hunter (Deborah); her grandsons, Cody Thompson and Austin Brewer; and her siblings, Pat Butcher, Arthur Heller and Rev. Doug Butcher.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Willis Gap Baptist Church (2767 Willis Gap Mountain Rd, Ararat, VA 24053).
