He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Roosevelt and Linnes Mae Puckett Bowman; and his siblings, Maggie Bowman Simpson, Conduff Bowman, Calvin Bowman and John Henry Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Edwards Bowman; his children, Rita Bowman Cooper (Gary) of Ararat, Virginia and Joseph "Joey" Bowman; his daughter-in-law Susan of Pleasant Garden; his grandchildren, Michael Andrews, Dr. Jonathan Mansfield of Charleston, Grace Cooper of Ararat Virginia, Jack Bowman of Wilmington and Ella Cooper of Ararat Virginia; and his sister-in-law Mary Bowman of Ararat Virginia.
