We are sad to announce that on May 22, 2020, at the age of 53, Amy Leech Carter (Ararat, Virginia), born in Surry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wright and Betty Lou Boyles Brown. She is survived by: her husband Donald Bradford Carter, Jr.; her children, Elizabeth Nicole Wiles of Cana, VA, Megan Leech of Dobson and Matthew Leech of Ararat, VA; her grandmother Ruth Allred of Mount Airy; her former husband Mike Leech of Ararat, VA; her parents-in-law, Donald O. and Rayland Carter of Ararat, VA; and her siblings-in-law, Tracy and Antony Hagwood of Ararat, VA.. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a private graveside service will be held at Pedigo Cemetery in Ararat, VA.
