He is survived by: his sons, Ronald L. Varner, Jr., David R. Varner and Rodney L. Varner; his siblings, Herman "Sonny" Varner, Jr., Marsha V. Ryan (Ned) and Carla V. Torrence (James); and his niece Cheryl R. Goodwin.
