It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Reuben Nathaniel Wheeler of Appomattox, Virginia, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Burg Wheeler and Hallie Mae Robinson Wheeler; and his sister Karen Lilly English. He is survived by: his wife Barbie Wheeler of Concord, Virginia; his children, Marcus Wheeler, Sr. of North Chesterfield, Virginia and Camille Wheeler of Hopewell, Virginia; his siblings, Regina Robinson (Wilma), Denise Coleman of Appomattox, Virginia, Bobby Lilly (Shirley) of Farmville, Lynn Wheeler, Jr. (Rose) of Appomattox and Tony; his siblings-in-law, Josephine Rosser of Gladys and Ricky Jackson of Brookneal; and his close friend Helen Marie Davis. He is also survived by five stepchildren; seven grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
