It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patty Louise Franklin of Appomattox, Virginia, born in Halifax, Virginia, who passed away on August 1, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie R. Crowder and Grovene Smith Crowder; and her sister Elizabeth Garrett. She is survived by: her husband Roger Dale Franklin, Sr.; her children, Michael Franklin (Hope) of Appomattox, Roger Franklin (Penny) of Appomattox and Donna Elder of Appomattox; her grandchildren, Andrew Oliver (Kaleb), Cliff Oliver, Jessica Jones, Wesley McCormick, Michael Franklin, Jr., Ronnie Franklin, Diana Franklin, Chasidy Tappen (Bobby) and Crystal Rousseau; her great grandchildren, Cain, Leila and Mia Franklin; and her sisters, Peggy C. Lotts and Joan C. Jones of Appomattox.
