She was predeceased by: her parents, Erna Roakes Holt and Richard Elwood Holt. She is survived by: her sons, John Elder (Wanda) of Spokane, WA, Jeff Elder (Robin) of Buckingham, David Elder (Chantel) of Appomattox and Matthew Elder of Alexandria; her brother Richard Holt of Brookneal; and her grandchildren, Taylor Earley (Justin), Zach Elder and Brianna Elder. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
