He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Harris Ranson and John Henry Ranson, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Ava Sue T. Ranson; his son Jon Aubrey "Jay" Ranson; his mother-in-law Alice Thomas of Evergreen; and his cousins, Doris, Albert Harvey, Barbara Smith and Andrea Nichols.
