He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Paulette Burke; his father Richard Burke; his stepmother Sarah Burke; his mother Elizabeth Burke; his siblings-in-law, Frances, Samuel Paulette and Wanda English Law; and his father-in-law Clarence English.
He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Burke; his mother-in-law Leona English; his children, Sam (Kelly Burke) and Sandy (Stephen McBride); his stepsiblings, Scottie, Buck Woody, Johnny and Brenda Giles; his grandchildren, Katie (Joel Hill), Emily McBride, Stephen McBride, Erin (John Daloni) and Samuel Burke Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Jackson, Grayson Hill, Waylon, Ashlynn McBride and Joan Daloni.
