It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Paulette Franklin of Appomattox, Virginia, who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George Clifton "Shine" Franklin; her parents, Robert Jefferson Paulette and Annie Wheeler Paulette; and her siblings, Jack, Bruce, Dwight, Ashby, Adrian, Burke, Temple Paulette, Virginia Krouse, Kathleen Lawler and Christine Moseley.
She is survived by: her daughter Paula F. Ferguson (Keith) of North Chesterfield, VA; her grandchildren, Kevin Ferguson (Shannon) of Raleigh, NC and Megan F. Vanderherchen (Matt) of Ruther Glen, VA; her great grandchildren, Caleb and Daniel Ferguson; her brother James Paulette of Appomattox; and her sister-in-law Mildred Jean Dunnam. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
