She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas O'Steele Doss, Sr.; her parents, James Berkley Mayberry and Frances Elizabeth Mann Mayberry; and her siblings, Clyde, E. Mayberry, Shirley M. Collier, Edward Mayberry, James Mayberry, Russell, Alice M. Clapp and Ida B. Crawley.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Bryant (Benjamin) of Appomattox, Doug Doss, Jr. (Janet) of Appomattox, Patricia Wallace (Mike) of Appomattox, Steve Doss (Rhonda) of Appomattox and Sherri Ferguson of Appomattox; her adoptive daughter Pat Moore (T. E.); and her grandchildren, Ginger McDonald (David), Bennie Bryant (Martha), Lauren Fisher (Cory), Melissa Doss (Robert), Stacey Thompson (Dennis Guill), Jamie Mitchell (Chris), Edwin Wallace (Jordi Williams), Jennifer Hill (Mark), Steven Doss (Amanda), Sarah McGuire (Casey), Heather Cheatham (Tim) and Felicia Mann. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home (667 Court St, Appomattox, VA 24522). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
