He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Rudolph Cash and Dorothy Jennings Cash; his in-laws, Kelly Knight, Sr. and Zadia Knight; and his brother-in-law Richard "Dick" Haley.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sue Knight Cash; his children, Melissa Walker (Billy) of Lynchburg and Shane Cash (Julie) of Appomattox; his grandson Logan Russell Cash; his stepgranddaughter Kelly Hughes; his siblings, Henry Rudolph "Rudy" Cash (Rose) of Gladys and Nancy Ellen Haley of Springfield, Ohio; his brother-in-law Kelly Knight, Jr. (Bonnie) of Lynchburg; and his nephew Thomas Adrian Cash. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
