She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Roosevelt and Mary Franklin Kestner; her husband Clarence Jesse Mays; her son Warren Thomas Mays; and her sister Faye Bugg.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Timothy, Ryan and Jesse Mays; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Mays of Christiansburg; and her sisters, Evelyn Chernault of Appomattox and Frances Guill of Appomattox. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
