He is survived by: his wife Alice Ragland; his brothers, Roger Ragland, Robert Ragland (Diane) and Herman Ragland (Kathy); his sisters-in-law, Shirley Ragland, Audrey Ragland and Helen Ragland; his friend Barry Watkins of Appomattox; and his former wife Ellen Taylor of Danville.
