She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Lewis; her parents, Lucy Ann Franklin and Richard Ayers Gowin; and her siblings, Henderson Gowin, Wilson Gowin, James Gowin, Major Gowin, Earl Gowin, Mary O'Brien, Lula Almond, Evelyn Pruett and Ruby Paulette.
She is survived by: her son Joseph Warren Lewis of Appomattox; and her siblings-in-law, Gwynn Pruett of Mechanicsville, Peggy Lewis and Rosie Lewis-Hart.
