She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Leo Carter and Jeanette Stanley Wright; her stepfather Walter M. Wright; and her brothers, Ronald Leo Carter, Jr., Gary Carter and Michael Carter.
She is survived by: her sisters, Brenda W. Johnson and Hope W. Purvis (Donald); her nieces and nephews, Scottie Allen (Jane), Kevin Carter, Melissa, Matthew Carter (LeAnn), Jeremy Carter (Courtney), Cassidy P. Baier (Sage) and Shane Purvis; and her uncle C. H. "Pete" Stanley, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous cousins and close friends.
