He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Gibson and Lola Collins Gibson; and his siblings, Tracy, Chalmer, Deloris, Annetta and Crystal.
He is survived by: his children, Eddie Dean Gibson of Wise, Hubert Gibson Jr. of Dryden, Willie Monroe Gibson of Blackwood, Virginia and Irene Leach of Wise, Virginia; his grandchildren, Brian Edward Gibson, Joshua Uriah Gibson, Ryan Eddie Gibson, Kwana Ann Lawson and Sarah Elizabeth Lambert; his great grandchildren, Brycen Christian, Seth Alexander Collins, Macie Ella Gibson, Braden Gibson, Rylee Gibson, Maxwell Edward Gibson, Abigail Chandler and Oaklyn Alcoa Lambert; and his close friend Frankie Robinette. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
