He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Adkins and Grace Adkins of Derby; and his siblings, Evelyn Adkins Derby, Lee Adkins and Jess Adkins.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Adkins; his children, Tim Adkins (Kelley) of Roda, Melissa Flanary of Appalachia and Christy Crouse (David); his grandchildren, Tommy Adkins (Shelby), Brad Adkins (Elizabeth), Jenny Flanary and Cathy Flanary; and his great grandchildren, Daisee Adkins and Grayson Adkins.
