It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julene Babbel Updike (Annandale, Virginia), born in Salt Lake City, Utah, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Babbel and June Babbel (Lisle); her brother David Babbel; and her granddaughter Allisyn Strickler. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Owen (Timothy), Mary Mohlman (Matthew), Kathleen Strickler (James), Lisle Jr. Updike (MaryAnn), John Updike, Cheryl Rimmer (Henry), David Updike (Jill), Laura Cannon (Peter), Crystal Freckleton (Dustin) and Julie Heyland (Jesse); and her sisters, Bonnie, Judy and Joanne.
