With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gertrud Maria Van Balen of Annandale, Virginia, who passed away on January 30, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Walz and Georg Kössinger of Heilbronn. She is survived by: her husband William Van Balen; her daughter Christina Harrigan (Thomas); her grandchildren, Megan and Sean Harrigan; and her cousins, Kurt Walz, Klaus Hellstern, Christine Walz, Hildegard Stang, Tilly Vogt and Hugo Walz.
