We bid farewell to Roger Barnett of Amonate, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 24, 2025 at the age of 91. Roger touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Washington Barnett and Bertha Lee Barnett; his wife Alice Barnett; and his siblings, Albert W. Barnett, Jr., Leo Barnett, Ted Barnett, Curtis Barnett, Sam Barnett, Alberta Barnett, Nell Richardson and Dorothy Presley.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Cummins of Amonate, VA, Bill R. Barnett (Carmen) of Vine Grove, KY, Phillip Allen Barnett (Nora) of Mooresville, NC and Kevin Barnett (Lisa) of Salisbury, NC; and his brother Jack Barnett of Port Orange, FL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Singleton Funeral and Cremation Service (1116 Cedar Valley Dr, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are suggested to Amonate Freewill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 74, Amonate, VA, 24601.
