He was predeceased by: his parents, William Banie and Rachel Ansell Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Ann Holmes Simmons; his grandchildren, Ashby Simmons Henderson, William Bainie Simmons, Crystal and Amy Neale Hutcherson; and his sister Diane Agamie. He is also survived by his three children.
A graveside service will follow at the Hitt Family Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Amissville United Methodist Church or the Amissville Fire Department.
