She was predeceased by: her parents, Bascom Stonewall Vandyke and Ruth Maxine Vandyke; and her significant other John Kelly Holmes, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, John Kelly Holmes, Jr. (Robin Long Holmes) of Madison Heights and Kevin Scott Holmes of Madison Heights; her sisters, Phyllis Ann Looney of Oakwood, VA and Doris G. Cowart of Bluff Creek, AL; and her grandchildren, Austin, Dakota, Amanda Holmes and John Campbell.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Centra Hospice of Lynchburg.
