He is survived by: his wife Regina Rice of Amherst; his children, Jeanene Foster of Appomattox, Karen Garrett of Richmond and John Rice of Buena Vista; and his sister Mary Kline of Roanoke Rapids, NC. He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
